Styles that inform and inspire my teaching: I anchor class to a theme that feels resonant in my life or the world, then I explore postures and breathwork that invite the body and spirit to connect with it. The alignment of Iyengar, the connection with breath of Ashtanga, and the intuition of Free Flow movement dance together in sequences. My Thai Yoga Bodywork training, Qigong, learnings from my sangha and healers, the wisdom of nature, and sprinkles of astrology also inspire my offerings.
Why I teach yoga: In short: it’s being revealed to me that I am meant to hold spaces for healing and embodiment. I have navigated four accidents resulting in whiplash and head injury, inviting me into a cyclical journey of healing, forcing me to slow down and be honest about what my system is capable of. Teaching yoga is a way for me to share my learnings from my life’s path and healing journey to others. I hope what I offer can be a support to others as they move through this wild, complex, confusing and beautiful world.
What to expect from classes with me: Honoring sacred shared space. Reverence for everyone in that sacred shared space. An authentic expression of my soul. And an invitation to find yours by letting your breath guide your body to where it needs to be. You can expect a dynamic sequence of poses and an opportunity to engage your mind, body and spirit in my 60 min vinyasa flow. I love to be creative and playful while offering modifiable challenges within each class. I weave breath, movement and contemplation alongside an inspiring playlist.
