Nora Gordon, MPH, NBC-HWC, RYT200
Hello! My name is Nora and I believe we each hold the capacity for transformation through our deep unsurpassed wisdom. I am passionate about health from a holistic framework of food, lifestyle, and all aspects of being including mind, body and spirit.
I have a master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition (MPH) from the University of Minnesota and I am a Certified Health and Wellness Coach (CHWC) with WellCoaches along with a BA in Theater/Scenic Design and a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate. I take a public health approach and address all factors of health from my experience working in local government with diverse populations in the areas of nutrition, food access, and health equity. In my personal life, creativity has been a powerful tool for change and I continue to use art and design as a way of feeding my inner spark and connecting to my emotional intelligence. I love to take life by the reins and be my best-self possible. As a health coach, I offer this same approach to my clients so they can remain open to what life has to offer and live their life fully.
I have been a student of yoga since 2003 and have studied and experienced many types of integrative approaches including yoga, functional nutrition, Ayurveda, herbal therapies, flower essences, and Thai massage and have traveled to Kerala, India to study yoga and Ayurveda. Together with my husband and best friend, Chris, we own and operate Big River Yoga. Often, you can find me on on my mat at Big River Yoga, riding my bicycle, enjoying the outdoors, getting creative in the kitchen (I LOVE food and cooking!) or sipping a cup of chai tea.
