Thai massage consists of rhythmic compression with gentle rocking, deep stretching and joint mobilization. Sessions are very relaxing. Work is done from the feet to the head giving you a full body therapeutic massage experience. Thai Massage is an effective technique for treating a wide range of conditions. Practitioners have easy access to the body while working in various positions using body weight as leverage. Thai Massage is performed on the floor on a mat. The recipient wears loose, comfortable clothing. It is unique in that it works on the muscular/skeletal system as well as the energetic* body. (*Work is done along the Sen lines, which are similar to the meridian lines known in the more familiar practice of Chinese medicine). People often report feeling light and energized after a session as well as increased ability to move their bodies freely. Chris is proponent of the body support cushion
he uses in his Thai massage sessions. The cushion gives fantastic support for the head neck and chest while clients lay belly down. It is also very useful while working on pregnant women.
Combines the techniques of sports therapy, Thai massage, yoga therapeutics as well as relaxing effluerage and petrissage Swedish massage techniques. Jin Shin Jyutsu
Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art of harmonizing the life energy in the body. It is gentle but deep. The body has major energy centers and energy pathways. Through normal living of the modern human, we may experience energetic log-jams which manifest as pain, stress, or discomfort in the body, mind or spirit. Jin Shin Jyutsu helps to open and harmonize the pathways so the natural flow can continue. In a Jin Shin Jyutsu session, the client remains fully clothed and the practitioner applies gentle touch to the body to harmonize and restore balance.
