yogic wisdom, philosophy, and traditions to inspire their personal yoga practice and

daily life, on the off the mat. Learn the ancient teachings to help you live with greater

intention, freedom, and joy!

Module 1: Self-Care with Ayurveda kicks off our Yoga Study Series in October and is foundational to wellness and your ability to embody the teachings and

lifestyle of yoga as you dive deeper into this transformational well of wisdom.


Ayurveda SelfCare


Module 1: Self-Care with Ayurveda   

Sat Oct 13 | 2:00-4:30pm  with Nora Gordon

Join Nora Gordon for an afternoon of nourishment and self-care to build resiliency and support the transition into winter. Ayurveda is the ancient healing art of India that promotes vitality and wellness by living in harmony with nature. In this workshop we will begin with the basics Ayurvedic philosophy then learn about the elemental forces, or Doshas, of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. We will then explore intentional self-care rituals, mornings and daily routines, and healthy habits related to diet, mindfulness practices, and exercises that support your unique needs and constitutional balance. 

Alignment_ Feet Legs Hips-min


Module 2: Feet, Legs, Hips   

Sat Nov 3 | 2:00-4:30pm   with Chris Gordon

Explore the anatomy of your feet, legs and hips for optimal alignment and greater freedom within your asana practice. This class is an experiential opportunity to practice in small groups to learn from one another and share insights. We’ll begin with the foundation of the body - your feet. You will learn how to best support yourself from the ground up. Discover the importance of strengthening your leg muscles, and learn how to do so with yoga. Your hips integrate your lower body with your spine. Subtle adjustments in hip movements can make the difference between feeling ease versus pain.

Yoga Study Yamas Niyamas-min


Module 3: The Yamas & Niyamas  

Sat Dec 1 | 2:00-4:30pm   with Geraldine Hickerson

Join Geraldine for an afternoon of study, reflection and discovery of the Yamas and Niyamas; known as the 10 precepts for yoga living.

The Yamas and Niyamas are guidelines for living fully. Taking time to study and reflect on these guiding principles will change your yoga practice and your life. Please join us as we sit, listen, and converse with others while Geraldine shares her knowledge of these ten rules for life. Participants in this session will:

  • Leave with a working knowledge of the Yamas and Niyamas
  • Identify their current lifestyle patterns that align with the Yamas and Niyamas
  • Set an intention for a different/new way of being

Module 4: Head, Neck, Shoulders 

Sat Jan 26 | 2:00-4:30pm with Chris Gordon

Do you feel as if you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders since it can feel so tight back there? This class will examine the posture that you have adapted from lifestyle, family heritage and previous ailments or injuries. We’ll then practice techniques to optimally align and release tension for greater mobility and decreased pain. Participants in this session will:

  • Leave with a better understanding of your own holding patterns
  • Expand awareness of the anatomy of the head, neck and shoulders
  • Learn a toolbox of techniques to release tension


Yoga Study Pranayama (1)-min


Module 5: Pranayama   

Sat Feb 16 | 2:00-4:30pm   with Amanda Hanlon

Bring new energy and vitality to your yoga practice with Pranayama taught by Amanda! The word "Prana" means life force or energy and "yama" means to extend. Pranayama is literally the practice of making controlled modifications to our breathing in order to bring awareness, calm our nervous system, and ground us in the present moment. In this workshop you will:

  • Learn the history and benefits of a Pranayama 
  • Practice Pranayama exercises and poses to be used during your asana practice or in preparation for meditation
  • Incorporate Pranayama techniques with restorative asana postures
  • Create your own pranayama practice you can do at home


Yoga Study The Chakras-min


Module 6: The Chakras  

Sat March 9 | 2:00-4:30pm  with Geraldine Hickerson

Geraldine will take you on an energetic journey of the chakras. This session will be highly interactive with conversation, movement, breath work, chanting, and more!

'Chakra' is a Sanscrit word, meaning "wheel." Energy within your body moves around the seven Chakras located on your vertical center-line, from the crown of your head to your tailbone. The chakras are energetic centers in the body that are impacted by your life experience, environment, and day to day activities. Participants in this session will:

  • Gain an understanding of the chakra system
  • Recognize balance and imbalances in the system
  • Self-assess current areas of concern
  • Learn movement and breathing patterns to bring balance to each of the chakras






All 6 Modules: $200 for all 6 workshops (Save $40 + members get additional 10% off)
