Class Descriptions

 

Restorative yoga is designed to help relax and renew the body on many levels; the nervous system, emotional distress, physical tension, and more. Under the soft glow of candlelight to evoke the sacred, poses are supported by props while relaxing music is played and poetry is read to encourage introspection and relaxation. 
A step up from beginners. Mixed level class. Focus on alignment and the breath. Poses consist of sun salutations, standing poses, twists, back bends, inversions, and seated poses. Modifications and props are provided to help students access the poses safely and effectively. Philosophy is woven into the fabric of the class to help students embody the teachings of yoga.

Ideal for those new to yoga. Build a solid foundation for a safe and joyful yoga practice.
This class takes a gentle approach to a yoga. Using the wall, chairs, bolsters and blankets we modify yoga postures to meet the needs of varying abilities. Breathing is emphasized and meditation is introduced.
Align and flow yoga class coupled with yoga nidra. Yoga Nidra is translated as yogic sleep; a guided relaxation that utilizes visualizations combined with intention setting practices. The purpose of yoga nidra is to transcend unconsciousness limiting psychological holding patterns in order to manifest your visions.
Utilize yoga to build strength and muscle tone, increase cardio fitness and have some fun! This class is suitable for a range of abilities and is a great compliment to your regular yoga practice.
 
Link breath to movement in this mixed level Vinyasa Yoga. Class includes sun salutations and a dynamic sequence of postures (asanas) that builds heat, releases tension and focuses the mind. Start your morning off right in this 55 minute class!
Yin Yoga poses are held for 3-5 minutes at a time. Emphasis is placed upon the releasing tension in the connective tissues of tendons, fascia, and ligaments. Restorative Yoga poses are held for 5-8 minutes with the support of bolsters, blocks and blankets to enable students to rest comfortably. Relax, nourish and heal is the mantra of this nurturing and therapeutic class.
