Thai Massage Practitioner Training (5 Weekend Course) with Chris Gordon Next held on Fri, Sep 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
This enrollment runs from Fri Sep 8, 2017 - Sun Nov 12, 2017
Each weekend consists of 12 hours of class time primarily devoted to demonstrations and supervised thai massage practice. New techniques will be presented throughout each weekend. By the end of the five weekend course students will have learned and reviewed four main positions and will have the skills to give a full body thai massage. The training is primarily hands on with guidance from the instructor. The general sequence of this training is common amidst many schools in Thailand. Anatomy will be reviewed as we cover various sections of the body. Time will be dedicated to practicing yoga and meditation to help students develop comfort while working and an ability to remain present during the learning experience.

Fundamentals/Supine Position Weekend 1: Sep. 8-10
Thai Massage Fundamentals weekend provides instruction on how to perform Thai Massage in Supine Position. Supine position includes very effective ways to release tension and open the legs, hips and shoulders. Fundamental techniques and a traditional sequence of positions will be taught.
